Ruthanne Bortle

Ruthanne Bortle is a Closing Coordinator with Reno & Cavanaugh in its New York City office.  Since 2002, Ruthanne has worked with attorneys engaged in transactional real estate matters.  For each matter, Ruthanne reviews  the closing requirements and checklists with the attorney and then prepares preliminary drafts of:  organizational documents including certificate of incorporation and bylaws, certificate of limited  partnerships and initial partnership agreements; sales tax exemption applications and federal tax exemption applications (both 501(c )(4) and 501(c )(3); construction contracts; real estate tax abatement applications; opinion letters for loans, LIHTC investors and tax abatements.  Ruthanne orders title reports, surveys and litigation searches as needed. She also coordinates closing deliverables and including obtaining and disseminating required signatures and preparing closing documents.
